- Providing cancer patients with compassion and support -

Who Are We?

In the early 2000's, a group of concerned local citizens formed an organization called Friends of the Cancer Center, to support cancer research, cancer patients and patients' friends and families.  The group's work benefited area residents, and as the needs of the community grew, the need for additional resources and support did as well.  Friends Fighting Cancer has been established to continue this important work with the same spirit of services as the forerunner organization.

In mid-2014, several members of our group worked through the process necessary to form a not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax status called Friends Fighting Cancer.  This process was undertaken to establish the best framework and platform for us to continue our efforts to support local cancer patients and their families.
